  Archery and Prairie Spring Turkey Applications

  Online applications for CSP, Black Hills, Archery and Prairie Spring Turkey are now being accepted. Paper application deadline for first drawing CSP and Prairie Spring Turkey is Feb. 22nd. Online deadline is Feb. 27th, 8 AM.

I applied for a paddlefish snagging tag last year and didn't get one so was REALLY excited this year when I got my tag. A couple of guys I know told me it was a lot of work. They were willing to help me out with trying to snag a paddlefish by taking me out on the boat and letting me use a rod. Reflecting on a Summer Day Trip on the Missouri

As winter settles in and the cold, dark evenings allow for limited outdoor activity, I find myself reflecting on warmer times when outdoor activities were more readily had and much easier to negotiate—or so it seems. With three kids in high school and a full time job, there opportunities become less frequent to enjoy the outdoors for extended periods of time—even in the summer. When we can however, we try to at least engage in some day activities. These can often prove to provide the same kinds of enjoyment relaxation that we often think that we need longer trips to find. more....
